PhD Candidate Rizki Nauli Siregar advises on Indonesia's best pandemic response

UC Davis Economics PhD Candidate Rizki Nauli Siregar's thoughts on optimal policy for Indonesia's economy during the pandemic appeared in Asia & the Pacific Policy Society's Policy Forum. She argues that dealing with the public health crisis is essential to economic resilience and recovery. Among a number of initiatives, she recommends that "a safety net for daily-wage workers, so that they can afford to stay home" is key to stem the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia.

Siregar also appeared on a Global Seminar panel broadcast by the Australian National University Indonesia Project to discuss policy proposals to help safeguard Indonesia's people and economy amid the pandemic.
