Giovanni Peri has expertise in labor economics, urban economics and the economics of international migrations. In addition to his appointment in the Department of Economics, he is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and director of the UC Davis Temporary Migration Cluster.

    Research Focus

    Professor Peri studies labor economics, with emphasis on regional and urban economics and a specific focus on the economics of international migration.

    Giovanni Peri teaches Intermediate Macroeconomics, Labor Economics, Advanced Growth Theory, Graduate Macroeconomics, Graduate Growth Theory and Graduate Labor Economics, and is an instructor in the Honors Thesis Program.
